Flower Cuff, multi-colored Baltic Amber & Sterling Silver (one size fits most)
$149.00
Description
Amber is the 44 million-year-old fossilized resin of the Sciadopityaceae species of conifer trees. It is thought that as earth's climate warmed, resin from these trees oozed, then hardened through oxidation. Inclusions were created when insects, plants & animals became trapped inside the hardening resin.
This dazzling, multi-colored amber cuff is a showstopper whose amber originates from the Baltic region -- modern-day Kaliningrad, Russia. Its simple, elegant, floral design features cognac, citrine, cherry & green amber on a sterling silver setting. Wearing amber means wearing a piece of geologic history.
Amber color significance:
*Green amber - health, balance
Cognac - knowledge, career
Cherry - love, passion
Citrine - harmony, purity
*Exceedingly rare, only about 2% of the world's amber is green. Green amber is formed when the resin interacts with chlorophyll from plants, trapping the green pigment within.
