Description
This breathtaking, genuine Indonesian mask is hand-crafted first by carving, then a syringe is used to painstakingly place tiny droplets of paint in a pattern on the mask. Each droplet creates a raised bump of color and texture. This mask is and elegant all-black, and requires the same amount of labor as the colorful variations. Upon close inspection, you'll see all the patterns created by the syringe-application method.
Other types of dot masks are smaller, use large dots, and are relatively simple to complete. This Indonesian mask uses paint droplet so minutely small, it's a herculean task to complete.
